Florence, Italy

The Duomo
The Duomo towers from the centre of the city, and can be seen from hundreds of meters away between the gaps in the streets.
Climbing up to the Basilica di San Miniato al Monte and the Duomo is still visible
The city of Florence is sprawled beneath us as the sun sinks behind one of the hills.
Just before the sun dips entirely behind a hill its rays seem to stretch out to every corner of the city and bathe it in golden light.
High a top a hill, the gleaming Basilica di San Miniato al Monte watches the sunset with us.
Another spectacular sunset.
